Business improvement mini-grants
The business improvement mini-grants provide financial assistance to Traill County businesses toward long-term investments in commercial structures and property, including the following: Storefront improvements; interior renovations/infrastructure updates; teardown of dilapidated buildings; signage; and landscaping. Applicants are eligible for up to $1,000 per business. The program is funded up to $20,000, so not all projects will be funded.
Public spaces grants
The Traill County EDC public spaces help Traill County political subdivisions, school districts and other entities to create or update public spaces to create more vibrant, inviting and inclusive communities in which to retain and attract residents of all ages. Approved applicants are eligible for up to $5,000 in matching funds, with a preference on no more than one grant award per city. This is a competitive grant with a total allocation of $15,000; not all projects will be funded.
Business training and certification grants
The Traill County EDC business training and certification grants are intended to provide financial assistance to Traill County businesses for workforce education, development, and upskilling; workforce recruitment, expansion and retention; required training for new or existing employees (i.e. certification or licensing); or hiring consulting firms to help improve business processes and efficiencies. Applicants are eligible for up to $1,000 per business, and funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
