The position of Process Technician V is considered a second tier position for the ACSC factory operations department and a Process Technician Program. Individuals in this position are required to operate factory processing equipment, operate mobile equipment, perform pilot lab sampling and analyses, and perform manual labor (including various cleaning activities). Individuals will be responsible to demonstrate proficiency in three of the following Functional Areas (Fas): Knife Setting, PKF’s, Pellet Mills, Filters, Lime Kiln and Centrifugal Station. This position also provides relief for the Process Technician VI position.
This position is required to understand equipment operating principles and fundamentals. They position coordinate with supervisors to ensure that production equipment is properly configured and/or set up for desired processing rates and product quality standards. They also perform mechanical inspections and adjustments, including troubleshooting to maintain optimum operating conditions.
